WHAT IS “OPERATION REASSURANCE”?
This program is designed to give SENIOR CITIZENS and/or DISABLED PERSONS the opportunity to speak to a representative of the Police Department or leave a message on a daily basis, just to make sure you are OK and haven’t had any problems during the night.
DO I NEED THIS PROGRAM?
Only you can answer that question. Maintaining one’s independence can be an increasingly difficult task as we age. The Operation Reassurance program is designed to assist senior citizens and disabled persons with maintaining their independence through a daily check-in call, and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we implemented the “OPERATION REASSURANCE” program many years ago.
DO I QUALIFY?
This program is available to any SENIOR CITIZEN or DISABLED person residing in Chatham Township.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
WHAT’S INVOLVED IF I JOIN?
All YOU have to do is call (973) 377-0100, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. every day and either speak with a police department representative or leave a message and let us know whether you are OK or need help. IT’S THAT SIMPLE!!!!
WHAT DO THE POLICE DO IF THEY DON’T HEAR FROM ME??
WE’LL WANT TO FIND OUT WHY.....First we will call you. If you don’t answer your phone, a police officer will come to your house to make sure everything is okay.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT, HOW DO I SIGN UP?
If you want to participate in the “OPERATION REASSURANCE” program, come in person to the police department and fill out an application. If you are unable to visit us, we will come to you. Please contact us at (973) 377-0100 and we will arrange to drop off and pick up the form for you.
